Over three years ago, the great Barry Humphries was punished for speaking his mind. The “ Barry Award “, given to the outstanding comedian of the year at the Melbourne Comedy Festival, was given a name change. It is now known as the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Award.
Apparently, Barry Humphries is too offensive these days. Like Ricky Gervais.
A friend of mine was looking after her grandson for three weeks while his Mum and Dad were away overseas.
She retrieved the slow cooker from the back of the pantry and started cooking hearty one-pot wonders for her growing 10-year-old grandson. Every couple of days, we would get an email with a photo of the young chap sitting at the kitchen table with a rather ample plate of food in front of him.

Oh to turn the clock back to happier times . Today you could get arrested for sharing a drink or using a plastic straw. `
Fortunately, all that social distancing nonsense is over. No masks.
Life these days is ridiculous though, isn't it? .
I grew up in a time when love and romance were in the air and flirtation was fun. Children played and laughed and explored life. Life was lived in a world of hard work and enjoyment of the simple things. We hugged and embraced, blew out birthday candles, danced cheek to cheek and whispered sweet nothings in each other's ears.

During an open public hearing of the FDA, Sam Dodson, an electrical engineer called them out for doing “nothing” with the “massive safety signals,” colluding with pharmaceutical companies to suppress trial data for 75 years, ignoring fraudulent data, ignoring adverse events like myocarditis and prion diseases and ignoring issues with infertility.
The FDA unanimously approved COVID jabs for 6-month-olds anyway.
What the hell do I have to do to wake up from this nightmare? Gay Pride MONTH? Seriously? 1/12th of a year dedicated to people who want to boldly go where no man should ever go? Sorry, Star Trek, but Captain Kirk would never have navigated to the Gay Galaxy.
Sometimes, you just have to say no. Enough. I am all out of sympathy, all out of hugs and all out of embraces for men who do not want to be a blokie bloke.
Gay Pride Month is, in my very not humble opinion, a month too long.
Democrats can define what an assault rifle is but cannot define what a woman is.
Such is the lunacy of the modern world.
Since 1970 the United States Army has had a definition of what an assault rifle is. The AR15 doesn't qualify under that definition. But boy oh boy, do the left love to talk about the AR 15 like it is used in every gun crime in every country in the world.
" When you compromise with the Devil, the Devil always wins. Every day that the congress meets we lose a little more of our liberty. "
Isn't that the truth?

One of the great motivators for suicide bombers and Islamic Terrorists is that of Heaven with 72 Virgins waiting for them in order to while away eternity in a rapture of sex, lust and decadent delight. Or, so I am told.
This blind faith that spurs so many on to a quick exit from this life and on to the next has always fascinated me, but, on due consideration, this life has not been that flash for most of them. So perhaps the promise of better things ahead would act as a real incentive to speed things up and call it a day.
Some of our Politicians must have been promised something pretty neat to have them head for the off-ramp and onto the highway to post political heaven .
Australia’s new ALP/Green/Teal government has a Zero Emissions plan, putting them on track to be world leader of the Green Lemmings.
John Kerry of USA was a strong contender to win the Green Lemming race. But he was given a stiff handicap by UN organisers because America has access to coal, oil, gas, hydro and nuclear power, plus cross-border pipelines and power lines. Biden is trying to close these loopholes.
Real history is no longer part of the school curriculum. It should be because we have much to learn from it. The adage that it keeps repeating itself is a salutary lesson in common sense.
Most Australians would not know that the reason that the US Marine Corps was formed was specifically to fight Islam. A nearly 240 year history of the fight against Islam is sadly, largely forgotten.

Curiously, doctors are now reporting that people dying with the exact symptoms of what death from a Covid-19 vaccine would look like, are actually being called death by “SADS” or Sudden Adult Death Syndrome.
It is a very widely known, age-old problem, we are assured.
My 8.6 pound Webster’s Encyclopedic Unabridged Dictionary of the English Language from 1992, has quite a bit to say about sudden death, but it does not have anything to say about SADS.

The concept of a Neutrality Act was introduced in the United States in 1935.
It was subsequently re-enacted in the following successive years until 1941when it was substantially repealed.
The concept was driven by a widely held belief that the USA had been drawn into WW1 by the influence of financial and industrial titans who saw profits to be made. It dominated US thinking until the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour which led to the US declaring war on Japan and Germany and Italy declaring war on the USA.
